DISCUSSION MANTRA
Respect yourself. Respect others. Respect the space.
FORUM RULES – REVISED MAY 2025
All participants must follow these rules. Failure to comply may result in post removal, muting, or banning without further notice.

---
1. Use the correct channels.
Support, tech issues, or order-related questions should be handled via Customer Service or Technical Support. The forum is not the place for these.
2. No external site promotion.
Linking to or discussing outside platforms is not permitted unless it is directly relevant and has moderator approval.
3. No self-promotion or sales pitches.
Do not use the forum to promote your own products, services, books, blogs, or websites.
4. Stay on topic.
Post within the scope of the thread and forum section. Tangents that derail or dominate discussions will be removed.
5. Be concise and avoid repetition.
Do not flood the forum with repeated arguments or circular points. Say it once, say it clearly, and move on.
6. Respect boundaries and tone.
Politeness is expected. No snide remarks, veiled insults, or attempts to provoke others under the guise of “debate.” Passive-aggressive or performative behaviour is treated as disruptive.
7. No personal targeting.
Do not call out members by name in criticism, directly or indirectly. Speak to ideas, not individuals.
8. All mediums are valid.
Photography, traditional, digital, and AI-assisted work are all valid forms of artistic expression. Disparaging an artist's chosen medium will not be tolerated.
9. Constructive discussion only.
Debate is welcome. Dismissiveness, superiority, and snobbery are not. Repeated “ethics lectures” or tone policing derail the forum and will be moderated accordingly.
10. Respect moderation decisions.
Moderator instructions must be followed. Refusing to respect boundaries, pushing back on mod posts, or returning to behaviours after being asked to stop will result in an immediate temporary or long-term ban.
11. No politics, religion, or unrelated social commentary.
These topics are divisive and outside the scope of this art-focused community.
12. No spam or shouting.
Avoid all caps, unnecessary bumps, or posts lacking content. Contribute meaningfully or wait until you have something new to add.
13. Provide sources for claims.
If you cite data, statistics, or world trends, you must provide a reputable source.
14. Privacy, language, and appropriateness.
Keep it clean, respectful, and suitable for a global audience. No graphic, profane, or personally identifying content.
15. Repeated boundary-pushing will result in action.
Even if a post doesn’t technically break a rule, repeated skirting of tone, conduct, or topic expectations is disruptive. Continued testing of the limits will be grounds for a mute or ban without additional warnings.
