I received one titled verification and one title urgent alleged to be from tech support. I received a notification through my regular email that looked like a group message and had a link to my account message inbox.
The message alleged my account had been restricted and I could not get paid for a sell I had made without verifying my account through a link. The link went to an account info page that looked suspicious.
The initial email labeled verify

Got it in email here at FAA "2 hours ago". Have not deleted, just in case Abbie or someone from TS needs to see it. I have not, of course, acted on it in any way nor will I except to delete it.

There's a "contact the artist" link in the footer of your pages.
It's meant for legitimate uses, but no one can stop scammers from using it.
The good news is that, unless you reply to the email, your email address is hidden.

Yeah, I just received one of these. What's weird is this pretend verification team is signed up as a "member" here on fineartamerica. I think they should remove the account so it doesn't appear legit in any way. I reported this as a probable scam but they told me it is not a scam and to enter my Paypal email for my payment under Sales- I think they misunderstood what I was trying to show them.

PLEASE BEWARE OF A NEW SCAM:
User named "Fine Art America Verification" profile at fineartamerica.com/profiles/helloaaa-goooo.html. They have figured out how to make an email look like a FAA email by leaving a comment in one of the artworks which creates a notification prompt sending an email with the new comment on artwork. The email DOES come from FAA because it's notifying the artist of new comments. So, the biggest issue is that it comes from FAA so it looks official, carries the exact comments with a malicious link in it.

Several of you already received this, but I fear that so many members will actually get scammed. Any way to create a real announcement to be aware of this and not just in the forums?
Best of luck, I'll put it out on my own channels.

This scam just got better, another artist on this site purchased something from my shop and as soon as it was purchased i got this fake email saying that my account was restricted and i need to enter account information to receive the funds, this email was from noreply- at - fineartamerica.com and had the info of the artist that purchased it, I wont enter that info here, I am waiting to hear from tech support, but it seems to me that either that artists account was hacked and used to be a part of this or that artist is involved, be careful everyone. This just happened to me today, has anyone else had this experience?

I got one of these yesterday. I destroyed my bank card and am having another card couriered to me.
Just now I got another one on the same picture of mine, with a similar comment about verifying my account.
I will not interact at all. I deleted it right away.
This is not the activity I want on my account.
Hoping you all have a wonderful day.

It would help if fine art America limited their comments to 120 characters. Also restrict it to a-z, 0-9, comas and periods only. No links or special characters.
