Asymmetrical Mandalas

Because although centering ourselves is the general notion of mandalas also mandalas target us on some perceived path and direction. Life constantly changes and we must navigate the path. The likelihood that symmetry is present all around us - doesn't seem high. Rather it is more like one is following a string (of time) through experience. Imagine some dot that represents the intersection of this string, call the string the Z value, with the (x, y) plane. The string need not be straight. The mandala emanates around this Z string. For the purpose of this contest there may not be any lines of symmetry on the (x, y) - which is to say that if you were to fold canvas in half vertically, horizontally, or diagonally that never would the folds that met be identical. Encouraged are radically asymmetrical radiations where the spokes share some elements of composition but not all. You get the idea, please excuse my less than incisive description.

Up to 5 images per contestant.

Oh, and not to be a squasher, but many will no doubt observe that flowers would readily meet the criteria. Therefore let's stipulate - no photographs. Something of the artist beyond selection and curation should be in the work

Each participant may submit 5 images.

1)   You must be a member of Pixels.com in order to cast votes in this contest.   Your account must have been active at least 30 days prior to the start of the contest in order to vote.

2)   You may only vote once per image.

3)   You may vote for as many images as you like... but only once for any given image.
