WELCOME TO FOUR SEASONS GROUP, where the fun never sets. ALL MEDIUMS ACCEPTED.
As the Good Lord God says in the Good Book, Genesis 8:22, 'As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.'
GROUP GUIDELINES FOR MEMBERS:
1) Only one (1) image submission per day is allowed.
2) All mediums are accepted.
3) This group is about artwork that represents the FOUR SEASONS: SPRING, SUMMER, FALL, WINTER. The seasons represented by the Northern Hemisphere on this good old planet earth will be followed in this group. So if you live in the Southern Hemisphere, it's understood your seasons will be opposite to those in the North.
4) Here is the schedule for seasons according to the calendar that this group follows:
Spring - March 20 - June 20
Summer - June 21 - September 21
Fall - September 22 - December 20
Winter - December 21 - March 19
5) Please submit artwork according to the season! RIGHT NOW THE GROUP IS IN THE FALL SEASON. So try to adhere to this policy. However, if you submit artwork representing all seasons, the admin will probably admit it into the group BUT WILL ONLY FEATURE ART THAT FITS THE SEASON BEING REPRESENTED. So if you want the chance to be featured, please follow the seasons.
6) Feature days are Monday and Thursday of each week. Though a limit of 30 images are recommended to be allowed on the features section at a time per FAA guidelines, the admin may exceed that number based on the number and quality of submissions. It is a real honor to be featured. When that happens, do yourself a favor, help out your group activity level as well, and embed your featured image in the discussion thread provided for features. Include keywords and descriptions to enable searches for your art. You can include a brief thank you for the feature if you'd like.
7) Religious themes are accepted as well as images with text. NO NUDITY. NO HALLOWEEN ART.
8) The administrator reserves the right to reject artwork that violates the group rules. Artists who do not comply with these guidelines may be removed from the group. And a reminder, when participating in discussion threads, everyone must abide by PIXELS Rules and FAA Rules.
9) UNIQUE MEMBER OPPORTUNITIES:
Top of the Top Features: Twice a week I select several images for Top of the Top Features, to be displayed in its own features discussion thread. T of the T's are promotions above the honor of regular features. The admin favors and comments on all T of the T's. So always submit your best! The admin likes to promote excellence.
Artist of the Month: By contest wins, artists have the privilege of being group Artist of the Month. The artwork that won the contest is selected on the group homepage, with a link to the artist's entire FAA gallery.
Members Weekly Showcases: At least quarterly members have the opportunity to sign up for homepage showcases, up to 10 images from their gallery, for their own personal show. Again a link is provided to their FAA gallery, and a special discussion thread is also included for members' comments and adding additional embeds of the artist's work into the thread. All artwork displayed on the homepage is favorited and commented on by the admin.
Homepage Promotional Nomination Showcases: Starting in April 2025, the admin started Member Nominations by Group Members for homepage showcases. This is members' chance to nominate outstanding fellow members' artwork. All nominated artwork on the homepage is favorited and commented on by the admin.
Contests Showcasing: Winners from any contests sponsored by Four Seasons are happily displayed on the homepage to enhance and promote full celebration of the wins. Wins may include Special Mentions or other awards based on contest guidelines. All homepage artwork showcased through contests receives a favorite and comment from the admin.
10) Promo threads are available in the Discussions Tab. The admin encourages your participation to gain friends, increase visibility for your art, and help promote others and the group's standing in FAA. Participation in promo threads is not required to remain a group member but is strongly encouraged.
